I am a Full Professor at the Centre for Cognitive Science, University of Neuchâtel.

My current work lies in the interdisciplinary field of pragmatics, which explores language and communication from a cognitive perspective.

Previously, I was a Leibniz-DAAD research fellow at the Leibniz Centre for General Linguistics (ZAS) in Berlin and a Fyssen research fellow at the Institut des Sciences Cognitives Marc Jeannerod, Lyon.

I did my PhD in Linguistics at University College London, under the supervision of Prof. Robyn Carston.
